She carefully placed the well-worn relic on the table, its worn handles stirring long-forgotten memories as they wrapped around her weathered hands. Brushing the grey hair from her face, she gazed at it with a mix of nostalgia and trepidation. "It's served me well," she said to the young woman seated across from her, her voice tinged with a hint of sadness. The young woman smiled warmly as she took the relic from her, her eyes shining with excitement. "Take care of it," the older woman cautioned, her voice barely above a whisper. As the young woman slung the relic over her shoulder, a look of determination crossed her face. Her time had finally arrived. I made this simple project to get back into my creative groove, and I had an absolute blast doing it. Everything was created in Blender, a program I'm still learning but growing more comfortable with each day. One of my favorite parts of the process was hand-painting textures - it's such a fun and rewarding experience! Next up for me is creating a sword and scabbard to complement this piece.
