**V2.1 NOW AVAILABLE HERE: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4564793** **V1.1 UPDATE** Switched to external lettering and reinforced peg supports for easier printing. This is a redesign request of the "Face Shield Big Remix by ICU nurse", which was based on the Prusa face shield. Huge thanks go out to ICU nurse Matt Behning, the original designer, for testing and approving modifications (and for many of the photos). Thanks also to Chad Schwartz for suggesting the tab concept and for providing consultation and encouragement in the redesign process. This is a split design of MNA Big Face Shield and Stacks--Brake Rotor Style. This is a split version, which allows those with smaller printers to help with production, and those with larger printers can print more at a time. This was a redesign request from the original designer, Matt Behning, who is an ICU nurse, and others with smaller printers who wanted to help. Instead of a chamfer, this model has small tabs at regular intervals that alternate direction for extra strength and support during printing. Huge thanks go out to Matt for testing and approving modifications (and for many of the photos)-- and to Chad Schwartz for suggesting the pillar concept and for providing consultation and encouragement in the redesign process. In order for these support tabs to work, make sure to select "print thin walls". Two 1-inch wide rubber tourniquets are used to hold the shield onto the wearer's head. A plastic sheet 12 inches wide and at least 9.5 inches tall is used for the face shield. Photos show a 12x12in plastic sheet. Files currently uploaded include stacks of up to 6. Also included are single layers with and without tabs if you want to stack them yourself. These files are currently in testing and have been successful up to a 2-stack. This was designed to print with a 0.4mm or 0.8mm nozzle at layer heights in increments of 0.04mm (0.2mm, 0.32mm). Should be able to fit a set on a 150x185mm print bed, but with some more fiddling, it might be able to fit on something smaller. Plastic weld together after printing. Let me know in the comments if other bonding methods work for you. Peg supports and tabs must be clipped and removed before assembly and use. -Luke Swanson Use at your own risk. This has not been tested or certified for medical use. Experimental only. Provided AS IS with no warranty expressed or implied.
