thingiverse
Redesign of the "Face Shield Big Remix by ICU nurse" https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4312120 by BlackDogCarbonFiber, which was based on the Prusa face shield. **NEW!!! Stackable version without chamfer can be found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4390764 ** Stackable version without lettering can be found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4374690 **This design is constantly being revised, so please check at least once per week for updates.** This was a redesign request from the original designer, who is an ICU nurse. For those with smaller printers, a split design can be found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4365917 Two 1-inch wide rubber tourniquets are used to hold the shield onto the wearer's head. A plastic sheet 12 inches wide and at least 9.5 inches tall is used for the face shield. Photos show a 12x12in plastic sheet. A base is included so that all prints are the same and to avoid an uncomfortable bottom edge. If wanted, the Z-axis can be moved down 4.5mm so that the stacking and gaps still work. Files currently uploaded include a single print, stacks up to 6, and a layer-only print. Higher stacked files will be uploaded as they are tested. A single layer file is also included to add to current stacks; but if using this, be sure to add a 0.3mm gap between each shield. 5 and 6 stacks have not yet been tested but were uploaded by request. Let me know how they turn out. This was designed to print with a 0.4mm nozzle at 0.3mm layer height. **IMPORTANT NOTE** Stringing may happen during transition between pieces. This is fine; it should recover and continue to print normally. After print, just cut off the stringing. Supports under the pegs must be clipped and removed before use. -Luke Swanson Use at your own risk. This has not been tested or certified for medical use. Experimental only.
