OLD LITTLE CHURCH HO SCALE

OLD LITTLE CHURCH HO SCALE

This HO scale (1/87th) OLD LITTLE CHURCH is an easy build. The one thing that makes this print unusual is the wall components are printed upside down in two sections that are trimmed and glued together. This will make the clapboard siding very old and rough looking when finished. Being printed upside down eliminates the hairy fuzzies, they are on the inside. The roof in this photo is just poster board, but Plastrut makes beautiful thin sheets of styrene shingles that you can cut to size. Included are the roof trim ends that will need to be cut to your desired size also. If you would like a smaller church lengthwise simply bring the .STL file into your favorite program and cut off at the vertical supports what you don't want. I exclusively print with PLA and have found that ordinary clear lacquer thinner (Nail polish remover) is a wonderful glue. Make a small test for yourself of two pieces of scrap PLA and give it a try. Let sit for 20 seconds and then try to break it apart. It leaves no residue and is applied with a small brush. I've been using lacquer thinner as a glue on stryene and PLA for years. No sloppy or messy glue to show when finished. If you would like me to design a custom model for you contact me at: garylavart@yahoo.com. It is totally free but I will post it on Thingiverse for others to print and enjoy.
