Old Laptop monitor frame
thingiverse
Despite having a few different options that would have worked perfectly for my salvaged Samsung laptop monitor panel (Model B156XTN02.1), they all demanded a larger print bed than my i3 Mini was capable of handling. As a result, I designed custom pieces that allowed the monitor to be securely clipped onto a larger solid piece - in my case, a sturdy 5mm ply board. My plan is to finish building the 'frame' and include the box for the control board (M.NT68676.2) as well as a multipart stand, both of which are limited by the print bed size. I have only included one side of the top and bottom corners so far. To get the opposite side, simply mirror it in your slicing tool. Please note that this is still a work-in-progress design, and I've only printed individual parts for testing purposes. The printer is currently running through its largest single print job to date, taking an impressive 12 hours to complete.
