Old Barrel (Alt Wood Final)

The wooden texture for the vintage barrel undergoes a distinct transformation. Initially, it relies heavily on base color values paired with a normal map derived from my high-poly model. In contrast, this new version seamlessly integrates multiple custom wood textures, carefully layered within a bespoke smart material that I've crafted myself. The grey sealant holding the wood fragments together is skillfully achieved by merging a mask builder with the curvature map and meticulously painting in subtle details using a mask.
