Heavy rainfalls recorded in Oklahoma from NOAA's radar rainfall estimates during the drought-stricken year of 2014 were analyzed by the Oklahoma Mesonet, utilizing data from a model crafted by Reuben Reyes. This model proved to be one of two contrasting models, as it showed extreme drought conditions in 2014, while its counterpart for the following year, 2015, indicated record-breaking rain totals.
