Okapi: Hidden Truthkeeper The okapi, or forest giraffe, is a master of concealment found in the dense rain forests of northeastern Democratic Republic of the Congo and western Uganda. This elusive creature remains hidden until 1900 when it was finally discovered. The okapi possesses a remarkable blue-black tongue that it uses to pluck leaves from branches with ease. Its camouflage ability makes it nearly invisible among its surroundings. It feeds during the day, as well as just before dawn and after sunset, always staying one step ahead of potential predators. Although the okapi may occasionally join small family groups, this solitary animal usually prefers to live alone. Okapia johnstoni By listening carefully and not reacting, a person with an okapi totem can uncover hidden truths without fear. However, developing this ability requires consistent practice through meditation exercises. When mastered, okapi people can move through life unnoticed, like a ghostly presence. Okapi is known as the Silent Truthkeeper
