OK - Bed leveling test

OK - Bed leveling test

thingiverse

This tool will help you verify the leveling of your 3D printer bed's surface. It consists of a single word "OK" printed in all four corners and the center of the build plate. The model has a height of 0.2mm, so printing at 0.2mm layer thickness will result in a solitary layer. This design is adapted for a 200x200mm build plate but can be easily scaled to fit any square build plate. Recommended use: Level your build plate as accurately as possible using your preferred method. Print the OK test. Examine the five OKs - if any of the prints appear squished, lower the build plate in that corner slightly. If there are gaps between the lines, raise the build plate slightly. Print again. If the bed is level, all the OKs should look perfect. Since many prints only use a smaller area in the center of the build plate, it's often sufficient if only the center OK looks good; however, if you're planning on using the entire build plate, make sure all corners look great. A model containing just a single OK is also included, allowing you to place them yourself. I have provided an image showing one of the O's printed before and after calibration with this test. This was done on my Wanhao Duplicator i3 v2, in PLA, printed directly onto a BuildTak surface. Print Settings: Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 100% Notes: Do not use rafts or brims; print as is directly on the build plate.
