League club Oita Trinita since its construction by KT Group and Takenaka Corporation under Kisho Kurokawa's design. The stadium, initially known as Kyushu Oil Dome and later as Oita Bank Dome, is currently named Showa Denko Dome Oita due to naming rights. It will be one of the venues for the 2019 Rugby World Cup, marking the first time this tournament is held in Asia.
