Oinochoe (Siglo III a.C.)
sketchfab
This small oinochoe in a black varnish production from the workshops of Teano city in northern Campania is an imitation of metal productions, much more expensive. These types of imitative black varnished wares have their origin in Etruscan workshops from late 4th century BC onwards. This type of vessel can be identified as objects destined for ritual activities related to the worship of divinities. In this case, the container has been located, like an offering and alongside other materials, next to the Alba Tower sanctuary, allowing its functionality to be determined within the cult practices.
