Oil to Oil Adapter

Oil to Oil Adapter

thingiverse

I go through an abundance of oil in my shop, and I'm always on the lookout for ways to save some money and reduce waste. To achieve this goal, I drain every last drop of oil from each quart into another container for future use. While there's never much left - just a few precious drops, but over time, these small amounts add up significantly. My dad used to tell me about his childhood when he would ride a motorcycle and never purchase oil for it. He'd scavenge oil containers from the trash bins at gas stations, a habit that has stuck with me ever since. Rather than reinvent the wheel or the threads in this case, I based my adapter on the [oil spout model by radare](http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3526626). I cut off the original spout, mirrored the threads horizontally and then again vertically to create a unique design. This adapter is designed specifically for coupling two quart bottles together. This project may seem like one of my more unconventional models, but it serves its purpose effectively. If you find yourself in need of something like this, here it is - ready for use.
