Oil to Oil Adapter
cults3d
I go through a lot of oil in my shop every week. To save some money and cut down on waste, I collect the leftover oil from each quart into separate containers to reuse later. It may not seem like much - just a few drops at a time - but over time, it really adds up. My dad used to tell me stories about his childhood when he rode motorcycles all the time. He never bought motor oil for his bike; instead, he'd scavenge empty oil containers from gas station trash cans. That stuck with me. I'm not looking to reinvent the wheel - or in this case, the threads on a oil spout - so I used radare's oil spout model as a starting point for my adapter design. I cut off the original spout and then mirrored the threads horizontally, followed by another vertical mirror. This device is meant to connect two quart bottles together tightly. This may be a niche project, but if you need it, here's what I came up with.
