OIl Separator
thingiverse
I designed a car oil separator that incorporates a unique feature - the intake and exhaust vapor ports are tailored for use with a 1/2-inch copper pipe. The exhaust port is conveniently positioned at the top, right next to the cap. The oil outlet, being smaller in diameter, will require some creative problem-solving to make it functional. I recommend exploring different options to find the best solution. The cleverly designed tabs on either side of the separator are meant to securely hold down the cap using a wire or bungee cord. When it comes to separating oil from vapor, the cyclone effect is expected to be highly effective in siphoning off the oil and leaving behind dry-ish vapor. To print this design, I suggest orienting it upside-down without any supports. Given its complexity, I recommend printing with 100% infill or close to it for optimal results. ABS or nylon filaments are suitable options. If you plan to print at a higher scale, you may want to consider increasing the print size by 10%.
