This upgraded oil filter tool boasts significant improvements over its predecessor. The socket connection on this plastic component is not robust enough to withstand substantial torque unless reinforced with a metal plate for added stability. I've incorporated a handle, eliminating the need for a socket altogether. I've put this revised design to the test and it functions exceptionally well. Although I left the socket attachment point intact, I plan to utilize it as a convenient hanging mechanism instead. The Ford motor company commonly employs this filter size across their vast lineup of vehicles equipped with 1.0L, 1.6L, 2.0L, and 2.5L engines. It's also widely used in Chrysler vehicles and has been adopted by most other manufacturers to some extent as well.
