Changing Oil Filter for My 2016 Kia Soul. The auto has a plastic shroud under its engine with a small removable panel that grants access to the oil filter, making removal a breeze. However, utilizing a collapsible oil canister wrench proves frustrating due to insufficient space for both hands required for proper filter removal. Consequently, I devised an adapter concept to fit snugly onto the dimpled bottom of the oil filter, accommodating a 1/2" socket extension that enables me to effortlessly remove and secure the oil filter with my ratchet. This ingenious adapter shaved off a whopping half hour from the oil change duration, but more significantly, it spared me any unwanted hand abrasions. The experience transformed from expletive-laden frustration to joyful giggles, highlighting the profound impact of clever innovation. What a world of difference a well-designed solution can make!
