The Ohio Class submarine is an intricately detailed model built close to scale, complete with all textures and materials. It features animatable propellers, openable launch tube hatches, retractable periscopes, antenna, and handrails. The torpedo tubes at the front of the ship can also be opened. Initially designed for the US Navy during the cold war, these submarines were initially equipped with Trident I missiles and later with Trident II missiles. Originally planned to retire in 2002, the first four boats (USS Ohio, Michigan, Georgia, and Florida) were redesignated as non-nuclear guided missile launch platforms. Each of these submarines was refitted to carry 7 Tomahawk Cruise missiles in each of 22 launch tubes and Navy Seal equipment and boats.
