This intricately built model closely resembles the actual submarine in scale, complete with all its textures and materials. It features an animated propeller, openable launch tube hatches, hatches, retractable periscopes, antenna, and handrails. The torpedo tubes at the front of the ship can also be opened. For SSGN boats, seven smaller launch tubes have been installed in each missile silo with a covering sub hatch for interior access. The Ohio Class submarines were developed for the US Navy during the Cold War and initially equipped with Trident I missiles later upgraded to Trident II missiles. The initial four ships, USS Ohio, Michigan, Georgia, and Florida, were scheduled for retirement in 2002 but were reassigned and refitted as non-nuclear guided missile launch platforms. Each of the 22 launch tubes now holds 7 Tomahawk Cruise missiles along with Navy Seal equipment and boats.
