The Ohio Class submarine is a highly detailed model built almost to scale, featuring an array of animateable components such as propeller, opening hatches, retractable periscopes, antenna, and handrails. The torpedo tube doors at the front can be opened while the re-designated SSGN boats are equipped with 7 smaller launch tubes in each missile silo. Developed for the United States Navy during the Cold War, these subs initially carried Trident I missiles before being updated to Trident II. Four original boats - USS Ohio, Michigan, Georgia and Florida - were set to retire in 2002 but were later refitted as non-nuclear guided missile platforms housing 7 Tomahawk Cruise missiles each in 22 launch tubes, along with Navy Seal equipment and boats.
