OHG - 800°C BBQ Grill - Top Heat Grill Important! This project isn't for your 3D printer! The provided STL files are just for visualization, not meant to be printed. Download the ZIP file instead, which contains all the necessary files. Warning! For outdoor use only! Be aware that accessible parts may get extremely hot, so keep children and pets away from the barbecue. Don't attempt to move it while in use, and turn off the gas supply after each use. Perform a leak test before first use, annually, when dismantling, or replacing parts. Use at your own risk! Introduction: I've always wanted a top heat grill but couldn't afford one. That's why I turned to this German-based grilling community for help building my own. The main thread was closed due to a member exploiting the community's knowledge for personal gain. I merged all relevant information into my design and now I'm sharing it with you. If you're not familiar with "Oberhitzegrill," look it up on Google. Files: Today, you'll receive all my work on this project, including Inventor files, exported Step files, DXF files for laser cutting, PDF files for a better overview, and STL files (just for visualization). Versions: * Blank Version: For full customization, I've included the necessary dxf files. * Minimal Version: This version includes only essential parts for a functional top heat grill. * Modern Version: This version looks nicer but costs an additional 50€ at the laser cutter. Material: All parts are laser-cut from 3mm V2A stainless steel sheet metal, except E-1004-01 and E-1005-01, which are made from 1.5mm V2A stainless steel. I used Geerscutting.com for my cutting needs, as they're the cheapest option in Germany. Material Number Identification: * E-1XXX-XX: Don't touch unless you have a different burner. * E-2XXX-XX: For customization. * E-oXoo-oo: Index number for version (0 = Blank, 1 = Minimal, 2 = Modern). * E-ooXo-oo: Index number for variation. * E-oooX-oo: Index number for part. * E-oooo-XX: Revision number (00 so far). Folding Parts: E-1004-01, E-1005-01, and E-XXX7-01 require folding. Take these parts to your local mechanic for assembly. The Burner: My design is based on a Rothenberger Industrial gas heater (ECO version 2270 with Piezzo ignition). The drawings are attached; check if you can get a similar burner in your country. I won't customize the design for other heaters. Update: I'm still waiting for my folded parts, but I've assembled the feet and heat burner. Additional Parts Needed: * 4x knurled nuts "long version" (DIN ISO 466) as feet * 4x press-in nuts M6 * 12x M6 washers * 8x M6x16 screws * 4x M6 nuts * 12x M5x16 F screws (DIN ISO 7380) * 12x M5 nuts (DIN ISO 934) Consider using stainless steel for small parts. Assembly: I don't have the equipment to create an assembly video, but you can use this video for instructions: ./watch?v=cq3Ygv2qFSM FAQ: None at this point. Important! If you like my design, please consider supporting my work with a small tip through this website. Thanks! Update: I've added some final pictures; the grill is still working great!
