Oh nooo, another customizable thumb wheel / knob / screw / whatever :D

Although there are numerous designs available, I created a customizable OpenSCAD design to meet specific requirements. Its versatility allows users to personalize it according to their needs. This versatile tool can be used in various ways, including as wrenches with just one wing. The customizer enables adjustments of parameters such as the number and size of wings, nut properties, and thickness. To use it, access the customizer at this link: http://www.thingiverse.com/apps/customizer/run?thing_id=70494. One easy solution to lock the nut in place is by using a threaded rod of appropriate size, a washer, and a butterfly nut as shown in the pictures. Align the nut with the slot and screw until it fully slides into place. I have used this design for bed leveling, extruder wheel locking, and potentially as a Z-screw adjuster. Discarding the nut is also an option. Additionally, consider Harrison's Customizable Thumb Knob (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:45117) for different wing shapes and a hollow design, which may be less robust.
