Offset Motor Mount (RigidBot)
myminifactory
Stepper motor mount for the RigidBot. This modification incorporates several key changes from the original RigidBot design:\r\n1 - It is offset by 6mm to line up with the idler bearing when used with a 16 tooth pulley.\r\n2 - It utilizes M4x25 socket cap screws and M4 nuts, as the motor mount threads on my RigidBot were stripped.\r\n3 - Two gaskets are designed for sound dampening, printed in NinjaFlex and/or Polyflex. The flat gasket is 1mm thick; however, you can easily rescale it to any thickness you prefer.\r\nTo install this part, you will need to mirror it if using on the Y-axis.\r\nThe black gasket on the left was printed in PolyFlex, while the red gasket on the right was produced in NinjaFlex.\r\nEdit: A new version of the mount has been added, one without flexible parts. This version uses Astrosyn dampers and Taulman Bridge nylon; however, it should work effectively with other materials as well.\r\nThis modified mount will require support material to print.\r\nEdit 2: Due to the Astrosyn dampers tilting excessively under tension, I switched to a new mount that combines elements from the first two versions (version 3).
