Offset Airgun Suppressor

Offset Airgun Suppressor

There has been quite a few offset suppressors in the firearm industry for some time now, yet this concept hasn't reached the airgun industry. This lack of implementation could be due to several factors, but it's surprising that noise reduction hasn't taken precedence over other considerations. My take on offset suppressors involves three basic components: the suppressor housing, baffles, and barrel adapter. Adding felt into the suppressor housing can further reduce noise levels. The barrel adapter is a simple slip-on attachment that can be easily drilled and tapped to secure it with grub screws. I've developed a baffle system as suggested by others, which not only makes it more sturdy but also quieter, preventing the barrel adapter from moving excessively within the housing. To prevent the housing and adapter from separating, they can be drilled and tapped accordingly. For added robustness, I recommend using ABS for this suppressor. A Sketchup file has been included to accommodate various barrel diameters.
