Official TechShop Filament Guide

Official TechShop Filament Guide

thingiverse

The filament guide we utilize across all our MakerBot 3D printers at TechShop locations offers a convenient, seamless printing experience. Designed by Jim Newton using Autodesk Inventor 2012 on a MacBook Pro 17 via Parallels, the guide is straightforward to print and fits perfectly within the Thing-O-Matic's build envelope. It does not warp during printing and requires minimal plastic usage. To install, simply print it out, bolt it onto the top of your MakerBot using two machine screws and nuts, snap the filament through the side slot, and experience uninterrupted feeding. Don't forget that the guide is designed to work with the bolt-on spool holder placed on the MakerBot's top. We recommend mounting it at the front right corner for optimal performance. Remember, you can download the STL file from the provided post or access the editable Autodesk Inventor IPT file. Autodesk offers strong support to the Maker Movement and provides free software downloads for students, educators, unemployed individuals, and US military veterans. TechShop members can also utilize the entire Autodesk Inventor suite on high-end graphics workstations at any TechShop location.
