official prusa mmu2 filament holder base reworked
thingiverse
As I didn't have enough space to place the spool holders in the back of my printer, I positioned them above instead. This led me to adapt the mmu2-s-holder-base provided in the kit to suit my needs. So, the mmu2-s-holder-base_rework2.stl essentially replaces mmu2-s-holder-base.stl: it's compatible with the other official parts that are screwed onto it. I also created a tube to pass through the wood; it is designed for a 6mm hole in the wood and can accommodate a PTFE tube (which is how I use it). Its length is tailored to fit a standard 18mm plank of wood. The mmu2-s-holder-base_rework2.stl must be printed with PET, featuring at least 50% infill (I used 70%). I attempted to print it with PLA and 20% infill, but it broke during the printing process. PasseFil_2.stl can be printed using PLA without any issues. A FreeCAD file is available; however, due to initial official STL import and conversion, it weighs approximately 100MB. I will attempt to upload it, but with no guarantee of success, as my internet connection is not very fast. Edit: October 28 - Licence updated to match the original part's licence.
