I have found some old canary cages so i had the idea to share the design wich was supposed to be a diy already, even if some shops sell the cages already made Canary cage following the blueprint from the 60s still valid nowadays for COM contest You just need to add the tray following the instructions in the pictures (in french) and use 1.6mm galvanized wires or cut bicyle wheel spokes. Removable bottom tray to print separately or just use a zinc plate according to the instructions. I have made another version with the bottom tray closing so you can add a zinc plate at the bottom easier, as you can use whatever substrate newspaper, sand,etc... i would use wood filament for a nice result. Glue everything like wood. Bottom tray must be 203x133mm max This desig can be improved (1,6mm holes for spokes, some joints to make it easier than using glue) you can use glass or containers for water and seeds, on the basic wood cage it is holded with wires. Cage must be 20X21X15cm to be COM compliant. some files have to be made twice (sides and front) and add 3 more corners, just copy/paste them on your printing tray, tinkercad was generating corrupted stl when files were too big inspired by https://canaritimbrado66.monsite-orange.fr/page-54b4c5334152e.html
