Official 7" Raspberry Pi Screen Case

Official 7" Raspberry Pi Screen Case

thingiverse

The Raspberry Pi 7" screen has a protective case that includes display and GPIO access. To attach the official screen correctly, you need a ribbon or extension cable for the GPIOs. This cable must be connected to the right side of the case where you can access the GPIOs, but be aware that there are no labels on the connectors. As a result, you'll have to remember which way round you inserted the cable. Additionally, you'll need to solder the GND and 5V VCC cables for the screen on the underside of the GPIOs in order to attach the ribbon or extension cable for GPIO access. While this may seem like an added step, it's actually quite straightforward and should work out well.
