## Office Tree A Christmas Tree Designed with OpenScad The core of the trunk is a 540 mm long aluminum tube, 8 mm in diameter. I'm sharing this now, before it's too late for Christmas, but there's still work to be done: - Numbering branches - Smoothing out locks that won't break - Creating snapable roots The star is made using this design: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4052419 It's optional; you can print office-tree-top.stl for a smooth top without the star. ## API // Customization needs modifications in file office-tree.scad // We can play with part parameters in this line to see each part: showParts (part=6, sub_part=0, $fn=SMOOTH, $layer=0.3 ); // The file office-tree-branch-beds contains the definition of 10 beds for 45 branches ## Prerequisites for Customization What you need: * Install [OpenSCAD](https://www.openscad.org/) * Install libraries (see below) * Create a new file in OpenSCAD. The following libraries must be installed in `%USERPROFILE%\Documents\OpenSCAD\libraries`: You may have to create the folder `libraries` yourself. Download as ZIP and unzip in libraries: * [scad-utils](https://github.com/openscad/scad-utils) * [list-comprehension-demos](https://github.com/openscad/list-comprehension-demos) * [agentscad](https://github.com/GillesBouissac/agentscad) The result should be: ``` %USERPROFILE% __Documents __ OpenSCAD __ libraries __ agentscad __ list-comprehension-demos __ scad-utils ```
