Gear designed specifically for Office Max paper shredder, also suitable for Office Depot models. Outer gear teeth were stripped off due to excessive wear. The original steel insert was molded within the outer gear. I removed the plastic section and reused the existing steel gear. The internal model is engineered with a slight oversize of 0.01 inches to ensure a smooth slip fit. Although a tighter press fit would be ideal, time constraints prevented further optimization. This design, printed in HIPS, has successfully handled over 1000 pages without any issues, utilizing standard settings for the material.
