Office Crash Bar Lock
thingiverse
I have to secure my office crash bars in place using a specific size hex key, which keeps them locked into the "unlocked" position. Once secured, I can remove the hex key and they'll remain firmly in place without any further adjustments needed. Unfortunately, our initial prototype, V1, had some issues with warping when exposed to direct sunlight. While it still managed to grip the bars securely, its aesthetic appeal was compromised. After about two weeks of use, noticeable bending became a problem. In contrast, our second version, V2, has performed much better under stress and heat. The forces applied to it have not caused any warping or deformation, and it's now been in service for over two months without showing any signs of compromise.
