Office Chair Support Set

USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. I have enjoyed sitting on this for about 2 months. It feels good and sturdy. Slight wobble every now and then. It got me out of a pinch so I could keep my comfy chair, but lets be honest - I need to eventually get a new chair or do a much more drastic overhaul of this one. I was fortunate to find a small and beefy C-clamp that I used to clamp the two brackets together against the shaft. This C-clamp is essential in my particular case. I could make the upper support piece taller to accomplish this, but plastic can't beat a metal clamp. Printed with 100% infill for at least 5 mm where the metal parts of the chair come into contact with the plastic. Intended for use with cheap (dollar store) shelving brackets. I cut my brackets down to the desired height with a hacksaw. Thus, my chair I permanently set to one height (not adjustable). I couldn't get the locking mechanism to work for the male and female parts of the lower support, so I designed one that has holes for nuts and bolts (file attached). However, I cut away the male part that didn't fit and found the part still worked well. This worked on my chair which has a 2.8 cm shaft diameter. See photo with my lower support dimensions. This sketch was revolved around the central axis. Greased every surface exposed to friction.
