This beautifully crafted granodiorite offering table of Nesptah was created in the Twenty-sixth Dynasty, roughly 650-640 BC, likely originating from Thebes. The monumental offering-table boasts impressive inscriptions featuring the name Nesptah, the son of Montuemhat, and requests for offerings of sustenance as part of the funerary ritual, accompanied by vivid images of foodstuffs carved in relief on top. Nesptah succeeded his father to hold the esteemed offices of mayor of Thebes and fourth priest of Amun, but only outlived him by about ten years.
