I have successfully 3D printed the self-balancing robot frame from Instructables: Brushless Gimbal Balancing Robot. I then purchased two marSpower 2208 gimbal motors. Next, I opted for rock crawler wheels and required a wheel with a flat hub featuring three or six spokes since the gimbal motor has three screws on every second of its six spokes. Fortunately, beast_c_a_t came to my aid by providing a 3-spoke hub with a protruding hex nut that needed some modification work to perfect it.
