Off Ear Comfy Mask Strap for Boat Style Masks

Thank you!</p> <p>I wear <a href="https://behealthyusa.net/collections/kf94/products/botn-kf94-healthcare-particulate-disposable-mask-kfda-approvedfda-registered?variant=36887240605860">BOTN KF94 Masks</a> to work. These are the South Korean general population masks that can provide near N95 levels of protection. They can provide 95%+ protection from airborne particles such as covid19, when care is taken to ensure a good fit. These masks have a two fold design and are often referred to as boat style masks.</p> <p>My co-worker Aaron Collins has a <a href="https://www.youtube.com/user/coll0412">Youtube Channel</a> discussing and testing protective masks such as these. It is very educational and informative.</p> <p>My ears got sick from wearing the over-ear mask straps so I took inspiration from the <a href="https://www.3m.com/3M/en_US/company-us/all-3m-products/~/3M-Half-Facepiece-Reusable-Respirator-6200-07025-AAD-Medium-24-EA-Case/?N=5002385+3294780295&amp;rt=rud">3M respirator</a> straps and designed a custom strap to fit this particular model of mask from BOTN.</p> <p>I also designed a generic clip for any boat style mask, you would definitely want to check to make sure this clip works on your mask to confirm it holds well enough. The clip may not be wide enough for other style masks such as the standard surgical mask.</p> <p>I drew further inspiration from <a href="https://www.youmagine.com/skipmeetze">Skip Meetze</a>'s <a href="https://www.youmagine.com/designs/comfortable-head-strap-for-reusable-respirators-and-medical-masks">Comfortable Head Strap for reusable respirators and medical masks</a></p> <h3>Print instructions</h3><p><strong>Supports:</strong></p> <p>Yes, just on the neck clip</p> <p><p class="detail-setting resolution"><strong>Resolution: </strong> <div><p>0.2mm</p>&lt;/div&gt;</div></p> <p><strong>Notes:</strong></p> <p>This should be printed in PETG or ABS for flexibility.</p> <p>The overhangs on the head cradle may need to be squished with a needle nose pliers to get the two halves together.</p> <p>The neck clip needs support but all other pieces can be printed without supports.</p> <p><strong>Assembly:</strong><br/> Assembly consists of clipping together the two head cradle pieces on both sides and then inserting 4 pieces of 1/2 inch wide elastic strapping into each component.
