I required a method to recall during games that I had artillery available outside of the gaming board. This device can accommodate up to a 15mm scale miniature, featuring a recess to hold a d6 measuring up to 12mm in size. Consequently, you will be aware of what type of artillery is accessible (the miniature) and how many guns/tubes (the d6) are associated with that off-table asset. In the provided images, the FV432(m) model miniature is scaled at 10mm, while the M109 is scaled at 15mm.
