OFC220 - Quadcopter
myminifactory
This is my take on a compact "Racing Quad". I built an X-Type with a 220mm arm span, focusing on easy access to all components while keeping the build as streamlined as possible. Although it may not be the most rugged construction, it flies flawlessly with 3S or 4S LiPo batteries. All screws in the frame are M3 and are recessed. The bottom frame can be printed on my Prusa i3 type printer in one piece. I don't need detachable arms because I can print as many frames as I want if it cracks someday, which hasn't happened yet. I also never use an action cam on top of my racing quads, so there's no mount included. All the components are attached to the bottom frame, making it easy to remove the top plate without any hassle. The camera mount angle can be adjusted in CAD with just 2 clicks if I need it. These were my design considerations. The entire frame was designed by me from scratch for a single purpose. It's very modular, so if a different camera mount is needed you simply have to redesign this part or adjust some parameters for the RX/VTX holder. I hope you like it! Components used in my build include: ESC's: 4x FVT LittleBee 20A FC: Omnibus F4 Pro V2 PDB: Matek System PDB-XT60 MOTOR: Racerstar Racing Version 2205 BR2205 2300KV VTX: Eachine TX526 5.8G 40CH 25MW/200MW/600MW RX: Frsky XSR - 16ch Telemetry Receiver
