ODROID U3 breakout frame for MLAB
thingiverse
3D printable breakout frame for the ODROID-U3 that mechanically incorporates it into the MLAB electronic prototyping and development system (http://wiki.mlab.cz/). The design significantly enhances the mechanical reliability of the weak ODROID's PCB board. This breakout frame expects a PCB with connectors for the ODROID IO port. Source files are available in the MLAB SVN repository. The distance between screw holes is on MLAB's standard grid, which is 400 mils (10.16 mm). Standard M3x12mm screws and nuts commonly used in the MLAB system fit into this breakout frame. Print Settings: Rafts: No Supports: No Instructions: This breakout frame can be easily printed on almost all 3D FDM printers, yielding excellent results with ABS or PLA plastic. After slicing, however, an inspection of trace placement in thin walls is required. The model features bottom holes for nuts covered by a single layer of material, allowing slicing software to plan a bridge over all holes. After printing, the bridge layer must be drilled out with a 3 mm drill. Insert hexagonal nuts from the bottom side into prepared holes and screw M3x12mm screws onto the ODROID board from the top side. Other file formats and up-to-date source codes are freely available from MLAB's SVN Repository.
