Odrive Case with Cooling Fans

Odrive Case with Cooling Fans

thingiverse

A DIY remix of a custom motor controller board enclosure featuring Odrive Robotics' design. The original case has been modified to accommodate three 30mm cooling fans, offering two distinct top versions: one with an increased height for all three fans and another that preserves pin access on the board. The revised casing now includes connections for fan power and grounding, utilizing the 5V and ground pins on the Odrive motor controller board. This setup allows users to easily attach their cooling fans without additional wiring requirements. To ensure secure attachment, I've incorporated holes sized for 6-32 screws into the design. A 7/64 drill bit was used to create these holes, followed by tapping the PLA material to accommodate the screws. For optimal stability, it's recommended to use 1-inch long screws when installing the three-fan top. Furthermore, large tabs have been added to the sides of the case for secure bolting down using 1/4-20 hardware. Alternatively, users can drill through the corner holes and employ 4-40 or 6-32 hardware to attach the box, then simply cut off the unnecessary tabs.
