Oddish is a Pokémon that bears an uncanny resemblance to a vibrant blue plant bulb. Its rounded body features beady red eyes, a small mouth, and ovoid feet. Five large, green leaves sprout from its head, showcasing their remarkable prehensile capabilities. These versatile leaves can easily scale vertical surfaces and deftly catch light objects, as demonstrated in the anime. Officially known by the scientific name Oddium Wanderus, Oddish makes its home in grasslands. A nocturnal Pokémon through and through, Oddish buries its sensitive body in the ground during the day to avoid the harsh sun and deceive potential predators. If its leaves are suddenly pulled while it's in this state, it will unleash a blood-curdling shriek in response. As night falls, Oddish begins to move, using moonlight to fuel its growth. It can wander as far as 1000 feet (300 meters) during the night to scatter its seeds and locate a nutrient-rich patch of soil perfect for planting itself. The more fertile the earth, the glossier its leaves will be. While planted, it's believed that Oddish's feet transform into tree roots. In times past, Petal Dance was its signature move.
