Oculus Rift Strain Relief (TPU)
thingiverse
Human: Custom strain relief for Oculus Rift (2018) video/headset cable. This fits snugly under the existing clip, which you must remove to install it seamlessly. The design smoothly transitions from a stiff point at the clip attachment to thinner sections before ending, allowing for a gradual curve. This model should print with no supports if oriented flat-side down (-90 degrees Y). The inner channel features a flat top rather than a rounded one, facilitating bridging. I used SainSmart TPU at 225c for my prints. Note: This design is specifically tailored for TPU or another flexible filament and will not work as-is with PLA or ABS. Inspired by Oculus Rift CV1 Strain Relief by copprman on April 9, 2017, but created from scratch in OpenSCAD.
