Oculus Rift S DisplayPort Extension Cable Grommet
thingiverse
I designed a grommet for use with the Oculus Rift S, intended to be installed in a desk where it holds a USB 3.0 cable and a DisplayPort cable extension securely in place for easy access. The cables I am using are: DisplayPort: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01KRLQG2M/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 USB 3.0: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B014RWATK2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I printed the grommet with PLA at a 20% infill, and it fits the cables perfectly. The barrel is 32mm in diameter, with a lip of about 2mm to keep it from falling into the desk. The hole I drilled into my desk is slightly smaller than 32mm, and the design allows it to fit snugly without coming out when you unplug the Rift S. Please let me know if you use this grommet or have any suggestions to make it better; it's the first thing I've ever modeled myself.
