Oculus Rift LEAP bracket
thingiverse
This is a bracket designed for mounting a LEAP with tesa-tape on the Consumer Edition of Oculus Rift. There are three editions to choose from, and the first one works perfectly. It features a snug fit that relies solely on friction. The other two iterations were created in just 20-25 minutes after printing the initial design. The LeapMotion_Casing_MeshBoole.stl file is derived directly from the mesh file provided by LEAP. Print Settings: Printer Brand: Ultimaker Printer: Ultimaker Original Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.1 Infill: 25 How I Designed This I used Autodesk Fusion360 to design the bracket, experimenting with an organic yet symmetrical approach for the double-curved front of the Oculus Rift. While not crucial to the design, the Sculpt-functions (T-Splines) in Fusion360 made it enjoyable and easy to experiment with.
