Oculus Rift CV1 Strain Relief

Oculus Rift CV1 Strain Relief

The headset cable on my Oculus rift was beginning to kink at the point where it left the clip on the Rift headset. This strain relief is designed to be placed around the cable and held in place by the clip on the headset, providing extra support and allowing the Rift headset cable to flex before kinking. Printer Settings Printer: Davinci XYZ 1.0a Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .2 mm Infill: 30% Notes: Printed with Ninjaflex Semi-flex, with cooling, no supports. Post-Printing After printing, I sliced the flat side all the way down the back using an exacto knife. Next, unclip the headset cable from the Rift. Then place the strain relief on the Rift cable. Test fit the strain relief and clip to ensure the relief is in the correct position. Finally, use a flexible cement (such as E6000 flexible cement) to glue the split in the strain relief back together. Once solidified, I used more cement to build up several layers for added strength. After it has fully cured, clip everything back together.
