Oculus Rift CV1 Prescription Lens Adapter with Removable Lenses

I designed this adapter to make it simpler for me to show someone with different vision items on the Rift, and also to quickly switch between my prescription glasses and my wife's prescription easily. Using jegstad's design as a starting point, I thickened the outer frame and modified the tabs in the part that holds the lenses. The lenses now fit snugly into place using these tabs, which are based on the same Zenni Optical frames and lenses used by jegstad. Specifically, this design is based on Frame #450021, available at http://www.zennioptical.com/450021-metal-alloy-full-rim-frame-with-spring-hinge.html. Please note that the lenses may be a bit loose when not in the main frame adapter, so it's essential to pay attention to their position as you slide them into place. Once they're in, you should be able to adjust the top of the lens if it shifts off-center. Edit: I've created a 43mm version of this design for Zenni Optical round frames with a 43mm size. This new design is available at http://www.zennioptical.com/550021-metal-alloy-full-rim-frame-with-spring-hinges.html, and I've made it easier to pop the lenses in and out without requiring sanding. Print Settings: * Printer: Maker Select / Wanhoa Duplicator I3 * Supports: Yes * Resolution: 0.2 * Infill: 25% Post-Printing: To achieve a better fit, first print the adapter. The tabs will be quite tight when printed, so sanding them and the tab sockets slightly can help. I found that sanding, testing, sanding, testing, and repeating this process until I got a snug fit while still allowing easy sliding of the tabs was the key. Design Process: I created this design using Tinkercad. It's not the most aesthetically pleasing .stl file, but it works perfectly for its intended purpose.
