Oculus Rift CV1 Prescription Lens Adapter (strengthened)
thingiverse
Remix of the Nice Lens Adapter Made by Jegstad. I recently enhanced the outer part of the frame (the left and right sides), as suggested by my optician. This modification makes the frame significantly more robust, ensuring that the lenses remain firmly in place when polished, which was a common issue with the original design. My optician also added a small notch to the glass near the top of the frame, making it easier to reposition the glass if it rotates or needs replacement. Simply align the notch with the end of the frame and the glass will be correctly positioned. This feature is particularly crucial for individuals with astigmatism like myself. In addition, I smoothed out most of the edges to achieve a more refined finish, which also contributes to the overall strength of the adapter. Finally, I added a slight curve to the base of the bottom tabs, making them less prone to breakage. The lens size remains unchanged from the original design. 2018-06-17: The Fusion 360 source file has been included. I'm still learning f360, so please bear with me; it's not yet polished.
