I carefully examined the original and noticed that airflow was seriously impaired by the pull configuration. As someone who suffers from dry eye, I thought it would be best if the fans were drawing air rather than pushing it. After designing this one on my own, I discovered that the airflow had increased so much that I considered slowing down the fan speed but ultimately decided against it. My only issue is that with headphones over the Oculus, you can hear the fan vibration, however, I got used to it after a while. I cut out the holes in the facial interface using a similar method as OP but employed a soldering iron with a chisel tip and removed all material below the air channel. After cleaning up the surface, I glued the duct to the interface securely. The space between the fans is spacious enough to accommodate the original cable from the Noctuas, provided you keep it organized, so I didn't have to trim the cable. To connect the wires to the original connectors, I used cables with pins on the end. The switch is now complete and functioning properly; photos have been uploaded. It's a tight fit but works as intended! You can adjust its position by using different length cables. P.S. The cooler in the photo didn't have any screw holes so I added two of my own, although it has space for four.
