Oculus Quest keep it cool, no sweat
thingiverse
Hi this is my version of the VR n CHILL. I live in Europe and shipping costs made the original product too expensive to order. So I created a similar design myself. I drew inspiration from the original Vive Kickstarter model, giving credit to its creators for their innovative design. This homemade version provides excellent airflow on your forehead, helping prevent excessive sweating during VR sessions. To power it, I connected a standard USB cable with an optional switch to a battery pack. Alternatively, you can use a USB Type-C connector and plug it directly into your Quest. Here's the Bill of Materials: - Two 30mm fans that operate at 5V (find ones with reliable bearings for minimal noise). Check out this product: https://a.aliexpress.com/_dSuuzpx - A USB cable with an optional switch. This product should work: https://a.aliexpress.com/_dZUpu0V - Heat shrink tubing (optional, for a sleeker look) - Two M3 x 20mm bolts and two M3 nuts Simply solder the black and red wires to power the fans. You can secure the fans within the casing using a small amount of super glue. I attached these homemade fans to my headset using 3M tape (specifically, 3M-TAPE-20MM-1-AMA1). Keep in mind that the noise level will depend on the quality of your fans; however, during audio playback, you'll hardly notice it.
