Oculus Quest Comfort Mod w/ GoQuest Halo Strap v3
thingiverse
This is a comfort mod I designed for the Oculus Quest with the GoQuest Halo Strap v3. The halo strap completely removes any pressure on the face/cheeks. However, it requires tightening the strap and causes reduced blood flow on the back of the head. This becomes extremely annoying for long gaming sessions. This design is my attempt to completely remove any kind of discomfort on the Oculus Quest, while still being versatile enough to fit any head shape. The screws may be daunting at first, but you only need to adjust it once and you can slip the headset on and off without meddling with it. **Required materials:** - 2x M5x20 screw bolt - 2x M5 nut - 4x M3x20 screw bolt - 4x M3 nut **Things to print:** - 1x Backplate Frame - 2x Beams - 2x Head padding - 2x Screw Caps - 2x Screw Thread **Printing and assembly:** - Print using the default orientations of the STLs. The screws should preferably be printed horizontally for additional strength. - You only need supports for the Backplate Frame and the Screws. - Slip on the backplate frame onto the rear strap of the halo strap. Then use the M3 nuts and bolts to secure the backplate frame in place. - The M5 nuts and bolts go between the head paddings and the screw caps. Do not tighten to much because the head paddings need to have adjustable positioning to fit different head contours. Before attaching the screw caps onto the screws, make sure to insert the screws into the backplate frames first. **See my other designs:** - [Endgame Oculus Quest Headphone Mount](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4539074) - [Oculus Link Cable Clip](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4584402)
