The original design placed the headphones very close to my head, and the holders/hooks snapped right off the headstrap plastic band. Changes: - Increased distanced of headphones to head by 10 and 25mm - Added variant of original design just a little slimmer to allow for a wider horizontal range of placing the headphones - All designs have thickened hooks that go behind the headstrap band, stronger holding power to the headstrap The feel of the configurations with increased distance to your head is more like the speakers of the Valve Index or Reverb G2 (which I also own, I like this kind of speaker configuration very much). The headphones do not touch your ears, so bass is a little thinner. But if doing sweaty workouts this might be better - depending on personal preference of course. The original distance variant places the headphones firmly on your ears, and with the strengthened hooks does not snap off the headstrap, at least with my headstrap. Maybe there are tolerances in manufacturing, but the holders from the original design always snapped of my headstrap when putting the quest over my head.
