Oculus Quest 2 Halo Strap Headphone Mod (Now More Adjustable)

A simple headphone mod for the Oculus Quest 2 with the Halo strap. (Parts Listed Are For One Side Only. You Need To Double The Numbers For The Whole Set.) UPDATE 1: I have added some wire mounts to the files. There is a picture to show where the little h mounts go.They go on the front facing side of the face plate. Just use some double sided tape to hold them on. I also added a second part A that works with a different model of JLab headphones that have 2 shorter rubber pieces instead of 1 longer one. I added a second picture of the new set of headphones to the images. And last I updated part C (the main mount) to have a stronger screw mount. Update 2: I have uploaded 4 new files that adds a hinge. You can bow tilt the headphones away from your head. The new parts are labeled A2 B2 D2 E2. You use the original part C. You will aslo need 2 M3 8mm screws, 2 M3 1mm washers, 1 M3 12mm screw, and part E2 is a 3mm spacer that goes where the washers use to go (between the main mount and the hinged parts). I use a plastic spacer for an RC plane propeller for mine. It's a harder and smoother plastic than the printed part. But not everyone will have access to them. So I added the printed one. I had to make the pockets for the rubber parts smaller to fit the new design so you will need to cut the rubber parts to fit. They should fit the thinnest axis already. But you need to cut them in half. then cut them so they are just a bit shorter than the pocket. I added more pics of the new setup too. Also there is a remix of the main mount that uses an M3 nut instead of epoxy to hold the 12mm screw. Thank you to waveformIRL for the remix. He did a great job. This mod requires a set of JLabs studio over ear headphones. I got them from Walmart. You can probably find them online too. Pic above for reference. It also requires 2 M3 screws about 10mm to 12mm long. And A couple of M3 1mm washers. I'd use 2 on each screw in between the main part and the speaker clamp. And a little dab of epoxy or strong glue. The epoxy goes in the hole of the big part that fits on the headset arm. The epoxy is to keep the screw from coming out and the headphones getting loose. Do Not Put Epoxy In The Smaller Parts Holes! You'll either have to shorten the cord by cutting and soldering it or just wrap the wire up. Also, on the original headphones, if you want the wire on the same side as the jack on the headset, you'll have to reverse the wires for the speakers while shortening it. The new set of headphones already have the wire on the correct side (left). Also, there is a little white rubber part in the original headband for the headphones that you need to keep and put in the little parts just like it was in the original. You can see it in my pics. Its needed to make the headphone slide smoothly.
